Terms of Service

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and KiroClip Lite (“KiroClip”, “we”, “us”). They explain how the service works, what you pay for, and the limits of what we owe you. Please read Sections 6 and 10 carefully, they limit refunds and our liability.

Agreement to these Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, buying credits, or otherwise using KiroClip Lite (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Service, including free users.

02

What KiroClip Lite is

KiroClip Lite is an AI tool that takes a video you upload or import and automatically produces short, vertical, captioned clips. Lite is a deliberately simplified product: it picks the moments, reframes them, and burns in the captions for you. You choose the caption style, clip length, aspect ratio and reframe layout before a job starts, and paid plans can save that whole setup as a named brand kit. What Lite does not have is a timeline editor or a per-clip re-render: once a job finishes, its clips are final.

The Service is provided “as is”. AI clip selection, transcription, reframing, and captioning are automated and imperfect, and results vary by source video. We do not promise any specific output, quality, accuracy, or commercial result.

Output resolution follows your source. Paid plans export at up to 1080p, and a clip is never enlarged beyond the video it came from: a 720p source is exported at 720p on every plan, including the most expensive one. Some places also cap what they hand out, so a clip imported from a link may be limited by that platform rather than by your plan.

03

Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password and login confidential. Activity under your account is treated as yours.
  • You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
  • One person or entity per account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • We may refuse, suspend, or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent or abusive.
04

Credits & how they work

4.1 What one credit buys

  • 1 credit covers up to a set number of hours of source video, and 10 clips. How many hours fit in one credit depends on your plan: Free 30 minutes, Lite 10 1 hour, Lite 30 2 hours, Lite 50 3 hours.
  • The whole rule: credits = the larger of (hours ÷ your plan’s hours-per-credit, rounded up) and (clips ÷ 10, rounded up), then doubled if you picked the over-90-second band.
  • Your clip allowance is 10 clips for every credit the length costs. On Lite 30 (2 hours per credit) a two-hour video is 1 credit and includes 10 clips; a four-hour video is 2 credits and includes 20.
  • Asking for more clips than your allowance follows the same rule it always has: one credit for every started block of ten. Ten extra clips, one extra credit.
  • The maximum length of a single video is 10 hours on every plan. There is no separate length wall: a longer video simply uses more credits, and you can only start one if you have enough.
  • However many credits you spend, a single video can produce at most 100 clips on a paid plan. On Free the clip count is fixed at 5, which is also the hard ceiling.
  • The length we charge for is the length we measure from the file, not the length your browser reported when you started. If the measured video is longer, the difference is charged before processing begins; if you do not have enough credits for it, the job is cancelled and everything you paid is returned.
  • The 60-90 second and over 90 second clip-length bands are available on paid plans only. Picking over 90 seconds also doubles that video’s credit cost, because per-clip processing time rises with clip length; the 60-90 second band does not.
  • Both rules apply together. Example on Lite 30: a two-hour video with 10 clips is 1 credit; the same video in the over-90-second band is 2 credits.
  • On the Free plan a video is always 5 clips for 1 credit at a standard clip length. The clip count is fixed at 5, that is also the hard ceiling, and the long clip-length bands are not available.
  • The exact number of credits is always shown on the start button before you press it.
  • Maximum source video length is 10 hours on every plan, including Free. What differs by plan is how many hours one credit covers, listed above - and that, not the 10-hour ceiling, is what decides what you can actually start. On Free the single free credit covers 30 minutes, so a longer video cannot be started there without a paid plan.
  • Credits are deducted up front, the moment you start processing a video, not at upload, and not on download.

4.2 The free credit

  • The free credit is granted once per person, at signup, and never renews. It is not a monthly allowance.
  • It is counted per mailbox, not per account. Address variations that reach the same inbox, such as +tags or dots in a Gmail-style address, all count as the same person, and deleting an account and registering again with the same mailbox does not earn a second free credit.
  • The free credit does not expire on its own, but it is not added on top of a paid balance: on your first paid purchase your balance becomes the sum of your active paid credit batches, so an unused free credit is absorbed at that point.

4.3 Credits that come back automatically

Credits are automatically returned in full, to the balance they came from and without you asking, when:

  • a job fails on our side, for example a processing, transcription, or render error, or a system error while the job was running;
  • the AI finds no usable moment in your source, so the job produces nothing; or
  • you cancel a job before it finishes, in which case any partial output is discarded rather than delivered.

If you ordered more than 10 clips but your source did not have enough worthwhile moments, the difference is returned per block of ten, not per clip: order 20 and get 9, and you are charged 1 credit with 1 credit returned; get 11, and you are still charged 2, because that second block was entered. Where the long-band multiplier applied to the charge, it applies to the return as well, so a 4-credit job that comes back as a single block returns 2 credits. This is worked out as soon as the AI has chosen the moments and before rendering starts, so you are not waiting out a full render to get the credits back. The AI is not forced to pad your order with weak moments.

Outside those situations, credits are not returned. A job that completes is final, even if you are unhappy with the clips.

4.4 Plan credits on a monthly plan

  • Each billing period grants your plan's full credit allocation as a fresh batch of credits.
  • Each batch of plan credits expires about one month after it is granted, and unused credits do not roll over beyond that date.

4.5 Plan credits on a yearly plan

A yearly plan is paid once, for twelve months, at the yearly price shown at checkout. It does not change what one credit buys. It changes when the credits arrive.

  • Credits are not granted all at once. Your plan’s full monthly allocation arrives as its own batch on the day you buy, and again each month after that, twelve batches in total.
  • Each batch expires about one month after the date it is due, exactly as on a monthly plan, and unused credits do not roll over. Paying for a year does not turn the year’s credits into a single pool you can spend whenever you like.
  • If a batch reaches your account later than its due date, its expiry is still counted from the date it was due rather than from the day it landed, so a late batch does not gain extra life.
  • Your plan level stays active for the whole twelve months, including in any gap between one batch expiring and the next one arriving.
  • Cancelling a yearly plan stops the next renewal, not the year you have already paid for. The remaining monthly batches keep arriving on schedule until the twelfth, and your plan level stays active until the twelve months end.

4.6 Expiry and the order credits are spent in

  • Top-ups are available on any paid plan, not on Free: they add extra videos on top of a running plan, priced per video on a sliding scale, and they expire 30 days after purchase.
  • When you hold more than one batch of credits, they are always spent soonest-to-expire first, so a batch cannot lapse while a longer-dated one is spent ahead of it.
  • Expired credits are forfeited and are not refunded or restored.

4.7 Changing plans

Upgrading to a higher plan adds that plan’s credit allocation on top of your existing balance, it does not overwrite it. Any credits from your previous plan stay usable until their own expiry date (about one month after they were granted). Going forward, only your current plan renews each billing period.

4.8 Credits have no cash value

🛡Credits are a licence, not money
Credits are a limited right to use the Service. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, cannot be sold, gifted, or exchanged for money, and are non-refundable except where this is required by law. Credits remaining when an account is closed, cancelled, suspended, or terminated are forfeited.

Plans, top-ups & renewals

5.1 Payment processor

All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our authorized reseller, which acts as the Merchant of Record (the seller of record) for every transaction and appears on your billing statement. By purchasing, you also agree to Dodo Payments’ buyer terms and privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details.

5.2 Automatic renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. A monthly plan renews every month; a yearly plan renews once every twelve months. You can cancel at any time to stop future renewals; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, which is the end of the current month on a monthly plan and the end of the paid twelve months on a yearly plan.

5.3 Immediate access & consumer-law waiver

ℹYou get access right away
The Service and credits are digital content supplied immediately. By purchasing, you request that we begin supply at once and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or “cooling-off” period once supply begins.

5.4 Price changes

We may change prices. We will give at least 14 days’ notice of a change to a recurring price by email or in-app before it applies to your next renewal. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for: on a yearly plan your price is fixed for the full twelve months and a change can only take effect at your next renewal. Continuing after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.

5.5 Introductory offers and discount codes

We sometimes run an introductory offer: a lower price for your first billing period only. On a monthly plan that is your first month; on a yearly plan it is your first year. It is not a permanent price. Unless the offer says otherwise, your plan renews at the normal price shown on our pricing page from the very next billing period, and no further notice is required because the end of the offer is stated before you pay, at checkout and on the pricing page.

A discount code applies once per customer and only to the plan it is issued for. Codes may be withdrawn or expire at any time; withdrawing a code does not change a discount already applied to a subscription that is running, which simply ends after its stated period. An offer applies only to the subscription you used it on: if you cancel and subscribe again later, the normal price applies unless a valid offer is available at that time.

5.6 Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may downgrade your account to Free or suspend paid features until payment succeeds.

5.7 Taxes

Prices may be shown exclusive of tax. As Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments calculates and collects any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST at checkout.

06

All sales final, no refunds

⚠All sales are final
Except where a refund is strictly required by applicable law or by Dodo Payments’ own buyer policies, all payments are final and non-refundable, including subscription fees, renewals, and top-ups. This applies whether or not you have used your credits, and regardless of dissatisfaction with AI output.

In particular, the following are non-refundable:

  • Credits consumed by jobs that completed, even if you are not satisfied with the clip selection or captions;
  • Subscription fees once a billing period has started, cancel any time to stop future charges, but the current period is not refunded or pro-rated. On a yearly plan the billing period is the full twelve months, so cancelling part-way through does not refund the remainder;
  • Top-up purchases once confirmed by Dodo Payments;
  • Plan and top-up credits that expire on their own date, and credits forfeited on a cancellation, suspension, or termination;
  • Any amount paid where you breached these Terms.

The only operational exception is a verified technical error on our side, for example, a successful payment where credits never appeared in your account. In that case we will add the correct credits after verification. Contact support@kiroclip.com with your Dodo Payments transaction ID.

6.1 If a refund or chargeback does occur

🛡A refund reverses the access it paid for
If a refund or reversal is ever issued, whether voluntarily, by law, by Dodo Payments, or through a bank chargeback, the credits, plan, and access that the payment provided are immediately revoked and clawed back, including any credits already partly used. You may not keep both the money and the product. We may also suspend or close an account associated with a reversed payment.

6.2 Chargebacks

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us before filing a chargeback. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension, forfeiture of remaining credits, and the matter being handled through Dodo Payments’ dispute process.

See the full Refund Policy for details.

07

Your content & licence

7.1 You keep your rights

You keep all rights to the videos you upload and the clips we generate from them. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, transcode, and transmit your content only to operate the Service for you. We do not use your video content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

7.2 You are responsible for your content

You represent that you own or have the rights to every video you upload and that processing it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law. You may not upload content that:

  • infringes any third party's intellectual property or other rights;
  • is illegal, including child sexual abuse material or content that promotes violence or terrorism;
  • violates any applicable law, regulation, or platform policy.

We may remove content and terminate accounts that breach this section, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

7.3 Reporting content that infringes your rights

If you believe something processed through KiroClip Lite infringes your rights, email support@kiroclip.com with the subject line Rights complaint. Please include:

  • what the material is and what right you hold in it;
  • enough detail to find it - a link, a clip or job ID, or the account it came from;
  • your name and contact details; and
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that what you have told us is accurate.

We review reports and, where a report appears well founded, we remove the material and may suspend or terminate the account behind it. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

This is a mailbox, not a hotline. We do not monitor it around the clock and we give no guaranteed response time; a reply may take a while. Sending a report does not by itself remove anything, and urgent legal matters should not rely on this channel alone.

Do not misuse this channel. Reports we find to be knowingly false or filed to harass another user may be ignored, and we may act on the account that sent them.

7.4 Retention & deletion

  • Your uploaded source video is deleted shortly after processing completes.
  • Generated clips are kept for your plan's clip-history window (3 days on Free and Lite 10, 5 days on Lite 30, 7 days on Lite 50), then permanently deleted.
  • Saved custom subtitle styles are a paid-plan feature. If your subscription ends and your account returns to Free, your saved styles are locked immediately and permanently deleted 30 days later, unless you resubscribe to a paid plan within that window.
  • Saved brand kits are a paid-plan feature (3 on Lite 10, 5 on Lite 30, 10 on Lite 50). They are stored with your account and are not deleted on a downgrade, but on Free you cannot save, apply, or edit them until you are on a paid plan again.
  • You are responsible for downloading and saving your clips before they expire. We are not liable for clips or styles deleted on schedule.
08

Connecting a social account

You may connect a TikTok or YouTube account so the Service can publish clips for you. Connecting is optional, and everything else works without it.

8.1 What you are authorising

By connecting an account you authorise us to publish only the clips you explicitly choose to send, with the settings you choose at that moment. We do not post anything on a schedule you did not set, and we never change or delete anything already on your account. On TikTok we also read the list of videos already there, so we can show you what you have posted and avoid sending the same clip twice.

That authorisation ends the moment you disconnect the account. You can disconnect at any time from your account settings, or revoke our access from the platform itself.

8.2 Paid plans only, and five clips per platform per day

Auto-posting is available on the paid plans. It is not part of the Free plan.

Each connected platform has a daily allowance of 5 clips per day, and the two are counted separately: 5 to YouTube and 5 to TikTok on the same day is within the limit, and a sixth to either is not.

The allowance does not carry over. Every day starts again at 5 per platform, and a day you do not use is not added to the next. A clip counts against the day it actually goes out, not the day you queued it, so scheduling ahead does not move it and does not stack. Cancelling a clip before it goes out does not return that day’s slot.

This is our own limit, not one set by YouTube or TikTok. We enforce it on every request, we may change it, and we do not grant exceptions to it.

8.3 You remain responsible for what is published

A clip published through us is your post. You remain its author and its owner, and you are responsible for it under the rules of the platform it lands on. You must follow each platform’s own terms, including their rules on music, disclosure of paid or branded content, and anything else they require.

8.4 We cannot guarantee a post will succeed

Publishing goes through each platform’s own systems, and those are outside our control. A post can fail, be delayed, be limited in reach, be restricted in visibility, or be removed after it goes up, for reasons we neither cause nor can see. Platforms also apply rate limits and can change or withdraw access to their tools at any time.

We will tell you what status a platform reported back to us. Beyond that we make no guarantee that a post will appear, stay up, or reach anyone. Loss of reach, a restricted post, or a suspended or banned account on a platform is not something we are liable for, subject to the cap in section 11.

09

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to access the underlying infrastructure or source of the Service;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own;
  • use bots, automation, or multiple/fake accounts to abuse the free tier, farm free credits, or evade plan limits;
  • attempt to exploit, manipulate, or interfere with the credit system, the queue, or other users' access;
  • upload content designed to overload, crash, or probe the Service; or
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

The Kiroclip name, logo, design, and technology are our intellectual property. Nothing here grants you any right to use them.

10

Availability & no SLA

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may, at any time and without liability:

  • perform scheduled or emergency maintenance;
  • modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, with or without notice;
  • throttle or queue jobs during periods of high demand (free jobs wait behind paid jobs).

No service-level agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee is provided under any plan unless agreed in a separate signed contract.

11

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

10.1 No warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 No indirect damages

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KIROCLIP AND ITS OWNERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, CLIPS, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.

10.3 Liability cap

🛡Our total liability is capped at what you paid
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS, COMBINED, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US IN THE ONE (1) MONTH BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 20.

10.4 Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet or power disruption, third-party service failures (including cloud, storage, GPU, AI, and payment providers), hacking, cyberattacks, or data breaches caused by third parties.

10.5 Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including hosting, storage, GPU compute, AI, and payment providers). We are not responsible for their availability, performance, acts, or policies, and their downtime or errors are not a breach of these Terms by us.

12

Security & account compromise

We apply reasonable security measures (see the Privacy Policy), but no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

⚠Compromise of your account is your responsibility
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account, including a weak, shared, reused, leaked, or phished password, or any access you fail to keep confidential. Purchases and credit usage made through your account are treated as authorized by you, and we are not obliged to refund or restore credits spent through a compromised account.

In the event of a security incident affecting your data, our liability is limited as set out in Section 10. We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users and reduce harm, as required by applicable law.

13

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KiroClip and its owners from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: your use of the Service; your content; your breach of these Terms; or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14

Suspension & termination

13.1 By you

You may cancel your subscription or close your account at any time from account settings or by emailing support. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period or unused credits.

13.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, a reversed payment, legal reasons, or prolonged inactivity.

13.3 Effect of termination

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, remaining credits (plan and top-up) are forfeited without refund, and your content is deleted on the normal schedule. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 6, 7.2, 10, 11, and 12) continue to apply.

15

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The current version is always available on this page together with its last-updated date, and takes effect when posted. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

16

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indonesia. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer right you have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.
