A series, not a collection

Recognition in a feed comes from repetition, and repetition dies the moment you re-choose a font on every clip.

01

What is the smallest thing that creates consistency?

Holding the caption treatment fixed. Typeface, size and position repeating across a run does more for recognition than a logo does, because the words are on screen for the whole clip rather than a corner for a moment. Saved styles keep that setup across a series on paid plans, from three on Lite 10 up to ten on Lite 50.

02

Which parts have to hold still

Saved styles hold the top three across a run: three on the entry tier, five in the middle, ten on the top. On the free video you can design and preview, but nothing is kept.

03

Writing down your choices

A short style note, one page at most, makes consistency easy to keep. List the caption style, the colour used for emphasis, how hooks are written, the usual clip length and how clips end. Anyone making a clip for the channel can follow it without asking.

Include a screenshot of a finished clip that represents the look well. A picture settles questions faster than a paragraph of description.

04

Consistency beyond the picture

Viewers also recognise a series by its voice. A recurring way of opening, a familiar phrase at the end, or a regular structure for post text all build recognition alongside the visual style. These cost nothing and are easy to repeat.

Posting on a regular schedule is part of consistency too. A series that appears at a predictable rhythm is easier for viewers to remember than one that appears at random.

Even the way you name files and folders can support consistency, because it makes finding the right style, logo and reference clip quick for anyone on the team.

05

Checking a batch side by side

Once a month, look at your last dozen clips together, for example on your profile grid. Differences that are invisible one clip at a time become obvious side by side: a size that crept up, a colour that shifted, a hook style that changed without anyone deciding to change it.

Correct drift as soon as you notice it. Small inconsistencies add up and eventually make a series look like a collection.

A shared folder of approved example clips gives everyone the same reference point for these reviews, and makes it obvious when a new clip has wandered away from the look the series is known for.

06

When several people make clips

Shared saved styles and a clear style note keep a team aligned. Make one person responsible for the look, so questions have a single answer and changes are made deliberately.

Review new team members' first few clips closely. It is easier to set habits early than to correct them later.

07

A consistency checklist to pin above the desk

Same caption style and size. Same emphasis colour. Hook written in the same voice and placed in the same band. Speaker framed at the same height. Clips ending on the point, not a sign-off. Post text following the same template. Six lines, checked in under a minute before every export, keep a year of clips looking like one series.

Print it or pin it where the person exporting clips will see it every time.

08

When a new person joins

Hand a newcomer the checklist, the style note and three example clips, then review their first five clips side by side with older ones. Most drift shows up immediately in that comparison and is easy to correct early.

After that, a monthly grid review is usually enough.

09

Set it once, repeat it

  • Settle the caption look once. Typeface, size and where it sits.
  • Save it rather than remembering it. A setup you have to recreate is a setup that drifts.
  • Use separate kits for separate brands. So a clip never ships in the wrong palette.

Design a look on a free clip and see how it carries. Nothing to pay.

Questions people ask

Can I save a setup on the free plan?
You can design and preview one, but saving is a paid feature.
How many can I save?
Three on the entry tier, rising to ten on the top one.
What is the difference between a style and a kit?
Saved styles hold typeface, size and position. Kits hold the branding around them.
Must every clip use the same one?
No. It is chosen per video, so a one-off can break the pattern deliberately.
Does consistency really matter?
In a feed it is most of how somebody recognises you before reading a word.
