One credit, a block of hours, ten clips

The pricing unit here is a block of source hours rather than a single minute or a single video. One credit buys a block, and every block brings ten clips with it.

01

What does one credit cover?

A block of source video, and ten clips from it on a paid plan. The block is 30 minutes on the free video, one hour on Lite 10, two on Lite 30 and three on Lite 50, so a recording longer than that costs one credit for every started block - and each of those credits brings another ten clips. Ordering more clips than the length includes costs a credit per extra block of ten, up to a hundred from a single video. The free video returns five clips.

02

What each tier includes

Two numbers move together. A longer recording costs more credits, and every credit it costs includes ten more clips - so on Lite 30 a two-hour video is one credit with ten clips, and a four-hour video is two credits with twenty.

03

Planning a month of recordings

Before buying, list the recordings you expect to process in a month and their approximate lengths. Grouping them this way shows how much you actually need, and avoids buying far more or far less than your real schedule requires.

Include any archive recordings you plan to revisit.

04

Making the most of each block

Trimming dead time from recordings before sending them keeps more of each block for material worth clipping. Pre-show chatter, long breaks and goodbyes rarely produce clips.

Focused recordings give more value per block.

05

Reviewing usage

After a month, compare what you used with what you bought. Adjust the next purchase to match real usage rather than plans.

Usage often changes as a routine settles.

06

Checking current terms

Plans and limits can change over time. Check the current pricing page before buying.

Keep a note of what you purchased and when.

07

Simple enough to plan around

  • Count hour-blocks, not videos. A recording costs one credit per started block, and the block is bigger on bigger plans.
  • Use the clips the length already paid for. Ten clips come with every credit the length costs. Ordering fewer does not cost less.
  • Put long recordings on the bigger plan. A three-hour video is three credits on Lite 10 and one on Lite 50.

Use the free video and see what a run returns. Nothing to pay for it.

Questions people ask

How many credits come with each plan?
Ten a month on Lite 10, thirty on Lite 30, fifty on Lite 50. What one credit covers grows with the plan too: one hour, two hours, three hours.
Does a three hour video cost more than a ten minute one?
Yes, and it also includes more clips. On Lite 10 it is three credits with thirty clips included; on Lite 50 it is one credit with ten.
What is the longest recording I can send?
Ten hours, on every plan including Free. There is no separate length wall - a longer video simply costs more credits, and you can only start one if you have enough. That last part is what decides it on Free: the single free credit covers half an hour, so half an hour is the practical limit there until you pick a plan.
Is there a ceiling on one recording?
A hundred clips, reached in blocks of ten beyond the first ten.
Do unused clips carry over?
Anything you ordered and did not receive comes back to you rather than being lost.
And what comes with the free one?
Five clips at 720p with a small corner mark, from a recording up to half an hour - that is what the single free credit covers.
