Pitches

Ten minutes on stage,
a month of reach

Demo day talks and recorded pitches hold your sharpest explanation of the company, rehearsed until it was tight. Reuse that work as short clips that candidates, customers and investors actually watch. Your first pitch video is free to process.

Why repurpose a pitch recording?

Because you already did the hardest part. A pitch forces you to explain the problem, the insight and the traction in plain language, and it was rehearsed dozens of times. That makes each section a natural short clip. Posted over the following weeks, those sections keep the company visible to the people who missed the event.

Can a demo day pitch become social clips?

Yes. Provide the recording as a file or link. The problem statement, the product explanation and the traction section each come back as a separate tall clip, subtitled on the frame. Retitle them with the question each answers and post them on LinkedIn, X or Shorts in the weeks after the event.

What to leave out

Fundraising asks, valuation hints and forward looking numbers age badly and can carry legal weight. Skip those sections when clipping, and keep public clips to the problem, the product and results that are already public.

If a figure appears in a clip, put the date it refers to in the caption so nobody reads an old number as current.

Slides and stage framing

Pitch recordings often put the speaker on one side and the slides on the other. A narrow crop keeps the speaker; a wider shape keeps a readable slide. Choose per section depending on whether the words or the chart carry the point.

If you control the next recording, ask for a camera on the speaker as well as the slide feed.

Timing the posts

The week after demo day is when interest peaks. Post the problem clip first, the product clip a couple of days later and the traction clip once people have seen the first two.

Teammates sharing the same clips from their own profiles often reach further than the company account alone.

Real clips generated from long videos. Captions and vertical reframing done automatically.

Ask the organiser first, since they usually own the recording.

Will my slides be readable?

Pick a wider shape for sections where the slide matters.

What about the question and answer part?

Investor questions often make the most honest clips, with permission.
